Electric Vehicle Field Application Engineer / Project Manager

Based in the rolling Welsh hills, ACTIA (UK) has a permanent, fulltime vacancy for an Electric Vehicle FEA / Project Manager to join our small, but dynamic and expanding team. We are a technology company developing innovative solutions, including Electro Mobility, for commercial vehicles and other automotive sectors. This position encompasses an interesting and diverse range of roles & responsibilities including:

• System level design of complete EV architecture including PWT, auxiliary components, batteries and power distribution
• Perform EV simulation to verify vehicle performance characteristics
• Field Application engineer providing support during development, testing and service
• Customer / supplier liaison
• Project Management responsibilities
• Position will require travel in the UK and overseas
• Opportunity to build and lead a team in line with EV business growth

What skills are we looking for?

• Knowledge and experience of EV applications, including:
• EV powertrain components (Motor, Inverters,)
• Battery and BMS technology
• Auxiliary components (e.g. Air compressors, cooling systems, etc.)
• High Voltage distribution
• Electric Vehicle high voltage trained
• ‘Hands on’ experience’ with installation, commissioning and service
• Knowledge of charging systems
