Xerotech is a start-up founded in 2015, based in Claregalway, just outside of Galway City on the West Coast of Ireland. Xerotech designs and manufactures next-generation thermally managed lithium-ion battery systems for automotive, industrial, marine, aerospace and defence applications. The company has 8 patents related to its Xerotherm® thermally managed battery pack architecture which offers an order of magnitude improvement over the current state-of-the-art in cylindrical-cell based pack temperature control enabling faster charging, longer lifetimes and higher sustained power. Xerotech offers OEM solutions via its Tier 1, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certified manufacturing partner.
Xerotech is at the forefront of electrification and is actively engaged in projects with some of the worlds leading electric vehicle manufacturers. It is the only company in Ireland engaged in hands-on hardware development of advanced powertrain and battery system technology. Xerotech has recently completed one of the largest Irish seed investment rounds in 2019. This recent investment is fueling the rapid expansion of the company and construction of Xerotechs new 10,000 sq. ft R&D centre in Claregalway.
